ABOUT

LOST & GROUNDED BREWERS

Lost and Grounded Brewers began in Bristol in July 2016. Known for their delicious flagship lager
Keller Pils, they are now stocked amongst some of the most exciting venues in the country and
beyond. Their accolades include a Gold in the World Beer Cup Awards for Keller Pils in 2023,
‘Beer of the Year’ with their Helles and ‘Brewery of the Year’ at the Brewers Choice Awards 2022,
and most recently a Gold award at the 2025 European Beer Star with their Pale Ale, Wanna Go to
The Sun.

The journey first began 25 years ago with Co-Founders Alex and Annie first brewing at home, and
then travelling the world with Alex working for some of the best craft brewers across the globe
before finding their home in Bristol. Operating from their purpose-built brewhouse their process
uses ultra-modern technology alongside traditional German techniques, producing beers that
are balanced, nuanced and full of personality.

Sustainability is a clear focus for Lost and Grounded Brewers. In 2022 the brewery installed a 30
tonne malt silo, saving 15,000 polypropylene malt sacks from going into landfill each year. In
February 2023, the addition of an Energy Recovery System to the brewhouse reduced their
natural gas consumption by 10%. Their latest expansion in 2025 saw the installation of a CO2
Recovery System that captures, purifies and reuses CO2 produced from the fermentation
process. The team has an ongoing commitment to improve sustainability as well as reduce their
environmental footprint – improving in their future will continue to improve the future of our
planet.

Whilst they love brewing beautiful beers it is their crew who are the superstars. With a team of
around 35 members onboard, Lost and Grounded Brewers advocate equality, further education,
diversity, and have been a Living Wage Employer since inception.
You can find Lost and Grounded Brewers at 91 Whitby Road BS4 4AR, and their taproom is open
weekly on Fridays 4-10pm and Saturday 1-10pm.
