ABOUT OUTER TOWN

Outer Town is an immersive DIY multi-venue music festival in Bristol UK.

 

With over 60 handpicked acts across 10 stages, Outer Town transforms Bristol’s historic Old Market area into a harbor for underground and off-kilter music of all stripes. Built on community, inclusion and a desire to bring local bands and grassroots venues together, we now pull acts from across the UK, Europe and beyond.

 

What sets us apart from other urban festivals is the lore. We pit punters and venues into an ongoing narrative in a strange other realm - a fictional town straight from the dark ages. This creates space for creativity and mysticism amongst the crowd without ever taking precedence over the music.

 

A collision of punk attitude, food and beer with immersive world-building and a

shared interest in thinking outside the box, Outer Town is a huge critical success and a linchpin in the calendar year for Bristol’s vibrant punk, queer and indie scenes.

 

Having just sold out for the third year in a row and with wild plans hatching all year

round, Outer Town 2026 is set to be our most ambitious yet.
